13000-series numbers and were then taken directly to the 11000-series
numbers (See Caboose
Body Styles at DBRR for more details).
For the MoPac final caboose renumbering of the 1970's, the
railroad reserved the 13000-series strictly for cars in road
service, the 12000-series for local service, and the 11000-series
for yard service.
