Texarkana - KCS Tower |
KCS tower is actually called the Cotton Belt Tower by locals in Texarkana.
It was built and maintained by the TP but manned by the Cotton Belt, if I remember correctly. This tower is where the T&P Shreveport Line headed south, the SSW crossed the TP and the KCS crossed the other two. Technically speaking the MoP ends a few hundred feet north at the Arkansas line. J Ogden
A friend of mine was tower operator in Texarkana at this tower in the 1959-1965 period and he worked for (and was paid by) the T&P. Dean Hale |
