I was looking in the Maintenance of Way Standard Drawings – Volume One and if you go to about the middle of the book (there are no page numbers), go to the page that has standard grade crossing stop signs and in the bottom right hand corner it has page 402.3-F. File No M-3500 and for the next 17 pages, these pages show all kinds of signs and I Guess in the early years they were all made of cast iron like the station sign and the crossing bucks.
