    James,

    In addition to what Charlie has mentioned in his post, I can include some links to sites that contain a lot of information
    on the Muskogee Roads. None of these sites are mine, but all are great reference material.

    I have never seen any photo’s or paintings of Muskogee Roads F units in any kind of black and gold paint scheme…just the blue and grey used by the MP and T&P. I did see a painting of three F units in a black and red scheme on a calendar.
    Unfortunately, I don’t own a calendar like that…I think it was from 1949??? And it was probably just someone’s idea of how the F units would look if painted to match the Geep’s and the switch engine.

    The link to Mike Condren’s site does have a section on the F units that has photo’s of the ‘as delivered’ paint scheme. as well as ‘in service’ photo’s later in their careers. Also, several timetables and other documentation is on his site as well as the others listed.
