Here’s a link to a four-minute YouTube video of Missouri Pacific Steam Operation Arkansas in the early 1950s. The area roughly described by a triangle between Little Rock, Alexandria and Texarkana was under steam until early 1955.
This video was posted to YouTube in 2011, but is certainly worth posting to this BB.

Youtube can be like Yahoo groups…. here today, gone tomorrow. It would be a shame for this to be lost, and in this particular video, I doubt that there would be any copyright issues, otherwise it would have been pulled from Youtube already.
