How good are these cars? The circle at the perimeter of the buzz saw looks really thick to me.

Attached is a builder’s photo of these cars and a photo of the cars later in life. I-GN 17850-17999, STLB&M 18000-18249, MP 34300-34599, and MI 3250-4299 were built by ACF in 1945 and STLB&M 18250-18499 and I-GN 18800-18999 were built in 1946 by Pullman-Standard.They all had 6′ doors with a Murphy roof and were 10’6″ inside height. Originally the number series that Intermountain chose was for the ST.LB&M car.

Pat, I agree with your assessment of the buzzsaw herald on the IMRC model. Here is a picture of a similar car.

It’s too bad they didn’t use the same artwork when Ed Hawkins worked with them on the Mopac cars they did for the MPHS many years ago. Am sure it was still around.

The lettering and buzz saw were perfect.

Can we contact intermountain and get them to fix this ? Send them the picture? It’s months until that car is due and intermountain is always late anyway.

I know you are aware of this but for the others on the BB Gene at Intermountain has been contacted and wants to get the correct buzz saw before these go into production. The MPHS sold five cars many years ago that were overseen by Ed Hawkins and the paint schemes were perfect for Mopac. We are seeing if Intermountain can replicate what they did 15 years ago.
