Interesting photo. I had not seen a MoP rail bus of that vintage, nor one that was for passenger and express/LCL service. Was this the original type of bus that operated on the Houston North Shore line after the electric service ended?

According to the book “Houston North Shore”, the Auto-railers were delivered in 1939. They were painted dark red and cream.
