Several years ago a coworker at the railroad retired and was moving back to St. Louis from Omaha. He called before moving and said he had a framed photograph he wanted me to have. A few days later he shows up with his truck and the two of us carry this picture into my basement. He was one of the building managers in St. Louis and said he’d dug this out of the trash bin one day.

It’s a large photograph and am sure a one of a kind being 3’ 6” high and 4’ 5” across. The front of the train is a little of of focus so I assume the photo was taken while the westbound Missourian was moving and was lit by several flash bulbs. Number on the signal is 121.0 which places it four miles east of Jefferson City (mile pole 125).

Locomotive is 4-8-2 Mountain type number 5341.[attachment=1:ix3xweaa]2D3249C7-EF52-4ED7-9872-24B63C8FD540.jpeg[/attachment:ix3xweaa]
