One of the last MP Steam engineers. Robert Rollins passed away.

In 1984 he was allowed to operate 8444 into Kirkwood on the way to the Worlds Fair. In 2016 UP Steam team again honored him, seen in this video:

Today Ed Dickens posted on the MPHS Facebook page that he would stamp Roberts name onto the Big Boy as a legacy.
I had the honor of meeting Robert in 2015 and interviewed him with Norbert Shacklette. I was also able to see him operate 8444 in 1984, but I was seven at the time (that probably made a lifetime steam fan out of me). He was an interesting character. RIP.
