    Hello to all!

I just acquired an transcript book by Mr Downing B. Jenks himself from Amazon. This book address, dealing with the history of the Missouri Pacific Corporation. It was delivered at a National Meeting of The Newcomen Society in North America, held at New York City. He was the guest of honor and speaker there on June 16th 1977. It was copyrighted by Me Jenks himself. It’s an first printing in September 1977.

If anyone knows how many other publications are available? This is an hardback copy, it was entered in the Wilkes college library Wilkes-Barre, Pa at one point.

I am lucky to be able to find this book, as I have a unique collec
tion of the Missouri Pacific myself. Here’s some photos of the book itself.

    Best regards
    Clayton Tanner

Very excellent find! I look for rare and unusual MP publications my self. I have a history written by John Leeds Kerr that I have scanned (65 pages). Have you thought of sharing this with the Society Archives be having it scanned? Jerry Michels

We do have a copy in the archives, it has not been digitized yet, but it would be a good one to have in electronic format. We do have several other corporate histories as well..

Whenever I bought the book form Amazon, it was listed as an paperback. I received the hardback version. Do you know how many copies were made?

I’ve got a Barriger speech to the Newcomen Society. Paperback as issued – not sure where it is, but can share it with the Library if the Society doesn’t have a copy.
