This was mentioned in a list of better sources for freight car photos, the other day on MFCL.
Owner of this site is Ken Harstine. Some photos are credited, many are ‘unknown’. There are a lot of early 60s photos, which are my weak spot and don’t seem to be well covered in a lot of places. Quite a few transition paint schemes, with simplified lettering but still with old numbering and ‘DeSoto lettering styles. New stuff (70s onward), but I didn’t care about those. One or two early 20th century ones. Almost all ones I had never seen before. And of course all those other railroads are on the site also.
Downloading a .jpg for $2 each. I’ll let you know what the quality is, but the file size is listed for each photo.
