The 2020 convention will be held in Branson, MO on October 8-11. We will be using the Branson Convention Center for meeting space and we have reserved rooms at the Hilton Convention Center Hotel and Hilton Promenade Hotel which is located in the nearby Branson Landing. Reservation links to these hotels will be posted on the MPHS website very soon.
Due to the overwhelming response by all concerned, we have invited the Frisco enthusiasts from Frisco.org to join with us again. In addition to presentations, the swap meet and our business meeting, planned activities include a ride on the Branson Scenic Railway, golf at Top of the Rock, and a bus tour to Springfield to check out the old Frisco HQ building and the MP depot.
Stay tuned for more info.

The only rooms still available at the Convention Center Hotel are double queens. The Promenade Hotel, across the street, still has some king rooms in addition to queens. Branson is a busy place, all year, and the weekend of our convention is no exception. Make your reservation, NOW. There are lots of hotels in Branson and you can probably find a room somewhere even if you wait. But, in my opinion, the convenience of one of the two Hilton hotels that we have contracted with will be hard to beat.

We have every intention of having the convention and will not cancel unless we are forced to. Due to the fluid nature of the pandemic, we are waiting until August to begin taking registrations. The goal is to keep from having to return payments, etc. if the event does get cancelled. If you are able, please continue making plans to attend.

October 18, 2020 at 10:14 pm #9976elsaanderson820ParticipantIt was good to see the folks who came.
A reminder that there are other folks still in the world outside the house!
The train ride was nice and the clinics were interesting.
Look forward to seeing more of you folks next year in St Louis.

We were able to handle some important business items and I think everyone had a good time while in Branson. This year was different in a lot of respects and we are thankful that everyone was patient and understanding during all of the activities.
Our friends at Branson Hobby Center sent a big thank you to everyone that stopped by. As you know, this has been a tough year for small businesses and they were pleased with the number of attendees that stopped by.
I look forward to seeing everyone at next year’s convention in St. Louis.
