Combination cars 131-132 were formerly IGN cars, renumbered to 1071-1072 in the 1963 renumbering. According to the diagram, these cars retained their clerestory roof and non-modernized appearance until retirement in 1966. However, a photo recently discovered by Jim Ogden reveals otherwise. This photo, car 132 at Laredo in 1961, shows that at least one of these cars was extensively modernized, versus the equipment diagram. Can anyone provide more information on these cars, where they were used, etc?
