Moderator Charlie Duckworth came by his railroad roots the honest way. His father was employed by Missouri Pacific in the communications department. As I understand it, his first position involved installing two-way radios on locomotives and cabooses. Both my wife and her father worked with Harold in Kansas City and confirm that he was a good old boy just like his son. Marilyn, my wife, states that he was fun to be around. Here are a couple of photos that my father-in-law took back in the day at the Kansas City general manager’s office.
