    There was a carman in the St. Louis area that was rather adept at using his chalk to draw an individual with a sombrero taking a nap under a palm tree. He applied this to numerous cars and it was almost impossible to be around the railyard and not see at least one car with his mark on it.

    Missouri Pacific actually created a boxcar with a safety oriented paint scheme that utilized a version of the Herby drawing. They changed the spelling of his name in order to get the acronym to work.

    Using the artwork from this boxcar, would anyone be interested in purchasing an embroidered cap similar to the ones currently offered by the MPHS Company Store? We might proceed with it, if there is enough interest.
