During a brief strike against Missouri Pacific in July 1967, both northbound and southbound Eagles were stranded at Little Rock, along with train #32 from Alexandria. I believe that train #4 also made it to Little Rock rather than stopping at Texarkana. The geep and B-unit on track 2 is likely #4’s train. Track 4 has train #2, with its two RPOs, a baggage car and the baggage dorm visible. Track 5 held #1, and its likely that the cars on the north end of track 6 were from the rear of train #1, set over on what was normally a storage track in order to avoid fouling the lead to the other station tracks. Power from the Eagles was taken to North Little Rock, but by the time #4 arrived, most employees were already participating in the strike so the inbound crew just secured the power and left. By 1967, half of the midway and two of the four umbrella sheds had already been removed.
