I bought this in an antique store today. I’ve seen individual bottles many times and own a few, but I have never seen a six pack before. I probably paid too much, but sometimes you have to pay up a little for something unusual. :ugeek:

That’s pretty cool. What does it say down below the buzzsaw?

My wife’s father (former secretary to the MoPac Western District GM) had some of these bottles, but he probably couldn’t find them in a month of Sundays with all the stuff he has. 😆

Under the buzzsaw it says “The Hottest Line in the West” The other side of the bottle has the Tabasco logo. Two of these bottles were recently donated and are in the caboose. Now I have the 6 pack.

I’d be curious if anyone has more info about how long these were used. I assume these were used in the dining car.

I grew up about 10 miles from the Tabasco plant and less than a mile from one of their competitors. That plant put out an unmistakable, but not unpleasant odor I’ll never forget. Their spur, served by both MP and T&NO, always had a really neat wood vinegar tank car spotted. I never saw one in the yard or in motion though. Needless to say I will have such a plant on my layout.
