I met with Teresa at MOT today. She is working on adding display space inside the MP Commuter Car, and would really appreciate MPHS help with displays. We can put up signs (Display courtesy of MPHS, etc). There are some display cases available, and they may have more, or we could purchase displays.

Things to note:
– This is not a climate controlled car
– this is an unlocked car
– docents are not always present or nearby

Therefore we do not want to put anything valuable in the car.

We do have some display artifact items available in our collection which I would not be too concerned about. We have a few HO scale cars. tools, small exhibit items.
One area we could help out is getting reproductions printed of photos, menus, maps, etc to make display signs.

I would appreciate some ideas. I think this could be a good opportunity for us to have some display space, and get us some exposure.
She wants some displays to focus on the commuter line (history of the car), but also tell the whole story of MP. We might also update the space about every 6 months.
