I had to make a quick trip to St Louis this week to address a couple of plumbing issues. Luckily they were easy to resolve and I was able to get to the NMoT yesterday morning to see what information they had on the Missouri-Illinois RR for the next book from the MPHS. Their recent restorations are extremely well done and they are relying on Historical Societies to help with the accuracy. If you’d seen these exhibits years ago you’d think they were different locomotives.

Here’s a couple of photos I took even though it was overcast.

The NYC Mohawk, and Wabash 573 turned out great. I’m a little partial to 573 as I helped quite a bit with the fundraising and the early part of the restoration. I Can’t wait to see how the B&O Camel turns out. They have been making an effort to repaint equipment in the last few years which is enhancing the look of the place. There are plenty of pieces that still need paint.
