I’d like to engage someone professional to do some paint and decal work for me, as I don’t have a good location to do the work, nor are my skills up to it anyway.
The projects are :
1. a PRR Bachmann S-2 that needs to have the lettering stripped and be painted black and decaled for MP.
2. A Bachmann UP 2-8-2 to have the lettering stripped and be decaled for MP.
3. A Bachmann ATSF 4-6-2, same treatment.
Anyone know of such a person?
Pat Flory
And someone hopefully who is familiar with MP practice as well.
Pat, I ran across this guy on Facebook, it sounds like he might be able to help. I have not used him myself. He is on Instagram and Facebook but I don’t think he has a website. His list of services includes painting. I didn’t see decal work in his list, you can always ask.
Touch of the Brush Model Weathering.
Everyone else I’ve seen only paints brass.
Pat,
You may wish to contact Ed Flaugher. He has done several MoPac paint schemes along with Frisco, MKT and others dispalyed at several shows I have attended, OKC, Jacksonville(AR) and Plano. All his work looked very good.

Hello
What is a good “rattle can” match for Jenks blue?
Dan
Dan,
Not sure if you have found a good spray can match yet but Krylon makes a blue that is very close in their craft line called “Short Cuts”, that is sold at places like Hobby Lobby. they are smaller cans like the size Taniya uses but they spray well, Tamya used to make a color called “Forever Blue” that was also very close sprayed on their gray primer. But is not in production anymore but it might still be found on online scale model suppliers.
