MP issued a series of maps, color coded to show divisions. It is likely that a new map was prepared on a regular basis to reflect changes in divisions. A series of these maps would be very helpful in tracking how divisions changes over the years, with some divisions (i.e.-Memphis division) being split and absorbed by 2 or 3 adjacent divisions. These maps show 1936 and 1961.

Shouldn’t the NOT&M be colorized on this map? What was its status in 1936?
Good question. In 1936, NOT&M was firmly under MP control. However, note that on the earlier map, all of the Texas lines are excluded… NOT&M and also I-GN. I assume that there was probably another colorized map for those lines.
I was hoping that by posting these, others might come forward with other maps for different years which might help answer when the Texas lines were included in these colorized division maps.
