Anybody have a source for the distinctive T&P font with the numerals flat on top? This is the last one used by T&P before converting to MoPac-style 7″ numbers, different from the forties one where some of the numerals have pointed ends.

Can you post a photo of a car with an example?January 21, 2018 at 12:25 pm #8606princessclyne69ParticipantHere’s the one I’m specifically looking at. img350.jpg[/attachment:1lj16o4j]
This one is smaller than the size applied to house cars. You can see that size on the Branchline HO boxcars and RBL models. The stenciling applied to flatcars might be 9″ or a little more.

This would apply to boxcars, gons and other cars where there wasn’t a physical size restriction.
I can estimate the size, but a drawing would be better. Or, if there is a car in Texas that still exists with this lettering, I could go measure it.

B&O wagontop box, T&P stock car, ATSF billboard boxcar — classy schemes and not a hint of graffiti. That is another of those “generic” shots taken back in the day that are priceless now due to what was inadvertently captured in the background.

I must have picked up this CD at an MPHS meet. It’s all Dick Kuelbs photos, organized by Pat Coughlin. There’s an email on the cover, .

These are for sale from Pat Coughlin, in Ovilla Texas. He was selling CDs last weekend at the show in Plano, TX.He used to tell stories about him and his friends standing in a line, all taking the same photo.
What is unique about Pats photos is, he did not just get Loco photos, he went after photos of rolling stock, especially MOW cars. Lots of unique images.
