Agree Patrick – the Quick Links does not work for me either (iMac, OS 11.6, Safari). Along the top right portion of the Forum, I am unable to pull down the menu for my login account.

amosluettgen1665ParticipantCharlie, I am on a Mac (Safari browser) and the Quick Links in this new format are not working. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, is there a work around?
Thanks…gregg
amosluettgen1665ParticipantHi Pat – for the color coat, I used Tru Color TCP-139 MoPac Boxcar Red.

amosluettgen1665ParticipantMine arrived today (Kansas City area). Paged thru it before dinner and clearly it deserves careful perusing. The images are all black and white and many are from larger format negatives which show great detail in the landscape format. For those of us who model the MoPac lines during the transition period, it’s a treasure of period images with lots of surrounding structures and right of way included.
Well done and thank you Charlie!

amosluettgen1665ParticipantI found another image which appears to be taken from the south (also from MPHS)…

amosluettgen1665ParticipantLooking great – love those long freights!
amosluettgen1665ParticipantWonderful to hear that you and the properties are safe and undamaged!
…gregg
amosluettgen1665ParticipantThank you Luke – this is very helpful!
…gregg
amosluettgen1665ParticipantWow, certainly weathered and $$$. Any thoughts as to what stations may have had a 4 foot diameter buzzsaws??

We had one 8×10 negative labeled on the envelope ‘7th Street Freight House, St Louis, Mo’ I was using for the book Bill Pollard said it looked like the Mopac Memphis freight house and sent back some images that certainly showedwas a match. I was able to enlarge the part of the negative with the trunks of the late 1920 cars and could read ‘TENN’ on the plates to verify it was the Memphis location.
Great catch!

amosluettgen1665ParticipantThanks for those kind words, Jerel. I am in the early stages of building the layout (and of course, the plans are always changing). I’ll certainly post more as it progresses.
Of late, I’ve been working at the bench. This 1932 ARA boxcar is just out of the paintshop and is an O scale resin kit from Jon Cagle (Southern Car & Foundry). The decals are produced by Norm Buckhart at Protocraft. Weathering not yet begun. After building this one, I quickly ordered 3 more
amosluettgen1665ParticipantVery nice – congrats! Wish I had your skills.
…gregg
amosluettgen1665ParticipantThanks Charlie. The bridge was a fun build with styrene. Adding the Archer rivet decals not so much
amosluettgen1665ParticipantSorry Bill, can’t help you with images. Would enjoy following your construction. Are you planning to do this tank in brass?
