Thanks for the reply Gary,
I would have loved to ride that train but my father always drove when we went on vacations or to see family. It seemed that logically it would back out of the station then head west and backing back in when it arrived back in Wichita. The track arrangement around 1st street leads me to believe that. There was no wye in front of the station so there had to be a back up move.

Larry SchievelbeinParticipantThanks Pat and Jerry for your replies.
I’m looking at a Jenks blue brass set of E6’s for sale. I think I will use them on my shortened version of the Colorado Eagle.
LarryLarry SchievelbeinParticipantJerry,
Would the E6’s make it into the early 60’s or were they off the roster by then?

Larry SchievelbeinParticipantHello group,
Thanks for the responses to my question on the track profiles. I am now starting my research and have gathered some track diagrams for the Hardtner sub from a friend that worked for the Mop as a yardmaster here in Wichita. He is looking for his Wichita sub track diagram for me but it will take some time, he has accumulated a lot of paperwork from his days on the railroad.

Larry SchievelbeinParticipantHello group,
I was on the Mopac website and noticed that the GP-12 parts in HO scale are temporarily out. Does anyone know when they will be re-released?
Thanks,
