While I was working at Reeds Spring, Mo. I noted the following about the inside wall material and painting scheme. The walls were made of scribed siding running horizontally, just like the outside. The interior was painted in colonial yellow, same color as outside and interior trim was brown, same color as outside.

The walls were painted brown from the floor up the wall 4 feet. From there to the ceiling was painted yellow. The ceiling was also painted yellow. All window trim, door trim, and any other trim inside was painted brown. The date I documented this information was August 14, 1969.

I would guess that most of the deports on the railroad that were constructed of wood and painted yellow and brown on the outside, would have had the interior painted as described above. I believe the brick depots were painted different colors inside.
