Registration for the 2026 Convention in Kansas City at the Drury Inn Hotel Kansas City-Independence, located at 20030 E. 42nd St., Blue Springs, MO, is now open! MPHS reserved a block of rooms at group rate pricing that will be open for reservations until September 11, 2026 (unless sold out earlier).  You may register using the link above or call 800-325-0720. Use Group Number 10177556.

Drury Inns and Suites extended the date for our hotel reservations with the special MPHS room rate, to September 11, 2026.  A few rooms remain available at our contracted rate and if you haven’t made your lodging arrangements, please do so by the 11th.  After September 11, regular room rates will apply.

Our Convention will take place October 8-11, 2026. The hotel is newly remodeled with a full bar, lounge area, and spacious conference rooms.  Free breakfast and Drury’s 5:30 Evening Kick-Back is included with each room reservation.

Kansas City and Missouri Pacific have a rich history. We look forward to learning more about local operations and the impact of MP with other railroads and customers. Planning for presentations, local tours, and a Saturday evening banquet are underway.  We will have a Business meeting on Saturday morning and a Swap Meet on Saturday afternoon.

For spouses and friends, there are numerous restaurants, museums, shopping destinations, and attractions in the immediate area of the Hotel and the greater Kansas City area.

Volunteers are needed for registration and to assist with events during the Convention. We have a list of volunteers that are needed and would really appreciate your help. If you would like to help, please contact Jim Rose or Kevin Love via [email protected].

Please note that the Bus Tour and Banquet are add-on items that require purchase of a
Convention Full Fare ticket.
