Local #606 ran eastbound from Pueblo, CO to Horace, KS. On August 10, 1966, the train left with 2 loads, 13 mtys, 420 tons.
The train shows a departure time of 15:30, conductor Gardner, with one locomotive, GP7 207, for power.
The head end car was an empty IC boxcar with a destination of St Louis. Not sure what the “HFR” designation means, but perhaps it relates to why the car was moving on a local and not a through train.
The next 10 cars were destined for Avondale. Two loads, a carload of “metal” from New Orleans and a carload of bombs from the Sioux Army Depot at Sidney, NE, for the Pueblo Army Depot. 8 empties billed to the agent, probably cars to protect loads from the Pueblo Army Depot.
The last 3 cars are empty boxcars for Horace, followed by caboose 13466.
The attached file is a scan of the actual consist printout.
