For those who are interested SSM 3 rd rail will be shipping the O scale Mopac PA with the Farr Grills. this is the first time
that this version has been offered. I helped Scott Mann out and provided data and input on the features that were unique to the
Mopac version. These are fully reserved. At 699.95 retail.
I wanted to add that these are painted with Trucolor brand paint using Eagle Blue and Eagle gray. the photos are lighter due to the area in the factory were it was darker to shot photo’s
I think the have captured the locomotive in model really well from all though I missed the crome win shield gasket. Sources that were used
mostly was the the Eagle issue Vol. 33 No.1 and tons of Photo’sThe next thing coming will be the T&P 2 10 4 I1 class 4 versions
the Mopac E 6 AB 7002 7003 with portholes.— maybe
down the road the Mopac E 3A 7000 7001.So things are going good for Mopac in O scale.

January 28, 2018 at 2:47 pm #8619amosluettgen1665ParticipantThanks for the update Bill and for all the work you put into providing the research. This looks to be a great model! Now, if Scott would only choose different figures for the engineer/fireman and lose the ski masks.

thanks for your comments. I hope I am making an impact for these types of models. These are very nice and a lot of model for the money.
Scott also sent me a nose photo and there is an issue in a couple of areas that were sent corrected drawings to Scott. He is going to see if the builder will make the changes. At this point I an not posting this photo as the mass media groups
would chime in negatively and there is no need to. I hate when that happens. Now concerning the cab figures, that is put in for the toy train people that want all the smoke bells and whistles. Me and us scale guys
could give a rip.FWIW there were very few 3 rd rail versions done, may be 10.
Again thanksBill Basden Delta models

Well Gregg score one for you on that, I saw that but had not clicked with me yet. My issue was the upper and lower headlight
orientation upper vertical while light lower red lens. Lower light rotate 90 deg horizontal did do that on the E-8.PA Also should have the chrome trim piece at the windshield, missing on the model.

Scott said hind sight is 20 20 . The PA the builder was able to correct the lower head light as is should be.
The nose MP herald needed improvement. best they can do is send a corrected herald as a decal to add to the model. The models are presently being boxed up and the container box is being loaded .
Now for me Lesson learned.I have to look at everything that I get to critique in the future, heralds have been a big issue.
Scott told me if they get caught in time for things are not right he will have them corrected. On the PA’s I should have pushed for a photo etched wing sections and had a decal add over that. that would have been nice.
Well when I get my two I will report in on the results, over all people should be pleased. I am with what I have seen.
