I need some information in these types of signs that were used oh buildings and stations I am thinking of purchasing this sign.

I would like to know the sizes that were used, this one looks on the small side. I was told is is 24 + x 10″ high on the buzz saw

it is metal or porcelain and has had a Masonite board added to it.

Over all it is merry nice and maintained, Does anyone have a slightly larger size to part with. I would like a Bus sign as well.

    Thanks

Nice looking signs, Bill. If original, the freight transport sign would have been attached to the side of a semi tractor. It is metal. I am almost sure the bus line sign is metal too, but I don’t know about its use Jerry

Hi Jerry thanks for the comments. The smaller one is metal , but base was added to to display on a wall. with what you say it makes
since about its use and use.

The bus sing is larger , and would be mounted on a wall, or hanging
at stations that had inter bus service to a different locations , with no rail service.

I had a metal motor freight sign that hung in the freight area at the MP facility here in Omaha. I donated it to the archives years ago. The same logo, as a decal, was applied to the doors on the MPTL tractors.

I have a similar bus sign these hung at a station or contractors bus stop.
