FAQ Category: Membership

Our system considers each membership level to be a subscription, so renewals only extend the existing membership level.

If you want to change your membership level, you must purchase a new memberships subscription at the desired level. To avoid the memberships overlapping, you will, of course, want to do this near the end of your existing subscription.

For example, let’s assume you are a Regular member, your membership is set to renew on 2/1/2025, and you would like to renew as a Sustaining member.

To do this, prior to 2/1/2025 (for example, on 1/31/2025) you would visit My Account > Subscriptions, select your Regular membership subscription, and turn off “Auto Renew.” Then purchase a new Sustaining membership at MPHS Membership.

Our system handles this for you by treating memberships as subscriptions. If you are a current member and you are logged in, purchase of a membership is treated as a renewal and begins upon expiration of your current membership subscription. If you are not a current member your purchase is considered a new membership which begins immediately.

Therefore, if you are a current member it is imperative that you are logged in to get a renewal. Please login and visit My Account to verify that you are recognized as a member before renewing your membership.

As soon as you have purchased your membership via the company store (or, if you pay by check, once we have received your dues payment), we will mail the current issue of The Eagle magazine.

Visit Subscriptions in My Account. This will tell you whether you have an active subscription and when it will expire (or did expire).

If you do not renew your membership before it expires, you should renew it as soon as possible.

If you renew within thirty (30) days of expiration, you will not miss any issues of The Eagle or the annual calendar.

If you renew more than thirty (30) days of expiration, your renewal will be treated as a new membership.  This means that you might miss an issue of The Eagle and/or annual calendar. We suggest you opt for an automatically renewing membership in order to avoid such a situation.

Yes, we do! Documentation is required. Contact membership services to submit information and begin subscription.

Yes, memberships last for one year and thus must be renewed annually.  You can check the status of your membership anytime by visiting the Memberships area in My Account.
