I certainly don’t have any technical information on the Bicentennial engines, but thought I would ask a Bicentennial-related question. I waited for several years for Union Pacific to finally give authorization to model railroad decal producers to create O scale Bicentennial decals. Once produced, I ordered decals and commenced painting some MoPac Bicentennial engines. They are certainly not prototypical, but have a Bicentennial paint scheme close enough for my o gauge layout. Now that the engines are completed, I am curious to know how they were used on the MoPac system. Were they used only on freight trains, or were they utilized on any Bicentennial passenger trains. If utilized for passenger service, what did the passenger cars look like? If I can find pictures, I am inclined to paint Bicentennial-related passenger cars if I can find appropriate decals.
