Dick I would have to say they painted the roof all gray like the sides. They should have left everything above upper yellow stripe stainless
including the ends.
I am building an O scale model of this car different #, and all my research and photos show stainless upper roof and ends as well.
I have modified an Atlas O Cal Z car o the Mopac configuration, they use the same car with modified skirts.
