I’m pretty sure these were taken by a gentleman from Shreveport named Ed Robinson. He was a huge T&P fan and worked for the RR for a short time but then changed professions. When I worked at Shreveport there were some large 16″x20″ black & White photos hanging in the CSC. I asked where they came from an the clerks said Ed had made them from his negatives. He also hand tinted them with oil paints as you can see I two of the prints.

I visited Ed a couple of times while I was working there and I knew as soon as I walked into his house he was a bachelor, there were T&P steam locomotive photos hanging on every wall. Ed had family in Bunkie and he’d take his camera down there on trips and photograph the trains running through there as well. As you pointed out at least one or two shots you posted are taken in Bunkie. When Joe Collias was working on his T&P book I put him in touch with Ed and many of Ed’s photos are in Joe’s book.

I never heard where Ed’s negatives went after he died. Maybe someone else on the bulletin board might know.
