Here’s the almost completed boxcar with its six digit number. I added a lighter color paint patch were the old five digit number was and made it 4′ 6″ wide to fit the new number. The COTS block was added, the U-1 yellow dot and the ACI label. With the six digit number and the COTS and U-1 decals added this brings the car up to the late 1970s. The nine inch numbers were from the Microscale decal sheet covering the MP and M-I cushion cars. I still need to weather the wheels and trucks but I generally do that step when I have a number of cars to do.
