Page 11 of the ‘Down the Iron Mountain Route‘ shows the badges being attached to derbys and other common period caps. I’ve seen them on Kromers as well. The eBay one has the plating coming off so wouldn’t be easy to restore. These are actually somewhat common and both the Iron Mountain and Missouri Pacific show up on eBay every few months. I’ve only seen conductor and brakeman versions. This one was pretty beat up and I was able to polish out the pits and add black paint back into the lettering.
