The 2021 convention will be held at Union Station in St. Louis, MO on October 7-10. It will be joint with the Burlington Route Historical Society. Planning is well under way and I am sure it will be a great experience. Hopefully, the pandemic will be well past us and no longer a concern that affects attendance.

Be sure to check the MPHS website for the latest information.

OK, I have my hotel reservation.
When can I register for the convention itself?
And I want to get on several of the tours!
    Especially the TRRA tour.

And does anyone want to carpool from Dallas? I have an empty seat.

Convention registration will open on August 1. Packets will be mailed in July at the same time to both groups.

The later registration relates to getting info to both memberships at the same time which is a coordinated effort, and to meet the bylaws requirements of both groups.

Information including pricing is now on the website. Early registration for the convention will be available on the website beginning August 1. This was done to accommodate requirements for the BRHS and MPHS. Links to the convention registration page will be placed on our site’s convention page at the appropriate time. Also, a brochure with convention info will be included in the Summer 2021 Eagle magazine.

There will be a model contest and a photography contest as part of the convention this year. This is a big deal for the BRHS guys, and new to us. There will be prizes awarded. We hope to see some good MP material entered in the contests.

You still have time to register for the convention and most of the activities. Unfortunately, the Thursday tours are full and there is a long waiting list. If you don’t have a hotel reservation, it appears that you can still reserve some rooms at the MPHS rate. Check out the link below for more info.

Here is the link to our convention page – http://www.mopac.org/annual-convention.

The current schedule can be found here – http://www.mopac.org/images/BRHS-MPHS_2021_-_Schedule_21SEP2021.pdf

    So 2021 is over.
    A fun convention.
The Burlington folks were nice, informative and merged well with us MP folks.
Some odd things, like a model contest, but the convention went smoothly from an attendee view.
David and Rene did a top notch job,
    Thank you again.

    See you folks next year!
