I have 2 branchline 40’ Eagle boxcar kits with 6’ doors. One for I-GN and the other for StLB&M. There are both 6 rung and 7 rung ladders in the kits. Which one is correct? I’m modeling 1945-1950.

Pat:
I hope you have some eight rung ladders. I don’t think there were every any of this size car with six rung ladders.
The eight rung ladders are each on a little sprue by themselves, one for the end ladders and one for the side ladders. You can tell them apart because the end ladders are narrower. Those are the ones you want.

I slipped. There are 7 and 8 rung ladders in the kit. Sounds like 8 is right, right? Seems like I remember there was some date where they changed from 7 to 8.
