I am nearing completion of a kit-bash project. I decided many years years ago I wanted a 4-8-0 in O scale. I finally gathered parts, kits, and courage, and ended up with this engine. It is not yet finished but is nearly there. donating kits include the old AHM IHB 0-8-0 and IC 4-6-0. the boiler is PVC pipe. I scavenged domes, fittings, and appliances and plumbing from the kits and PSC, etc. I scratched the steam chest, the firebox, the stack, and the cab. The tender is modified from the 4-6-0 kit. Archer rivet decals and an old Champ set for piecing together the lettering.

It is *not* mobile: too many compromises in the frame stretch and running gear geometry.

it’s hardly a noteworthy model–I am a plastic butcher rather than a craftsman–but it has the virtue of being unique.
