MPHS recently received a large donation of Missouri Pacific and predecessor railroad images from the collection of J. David Ingles. Mr. Ingles was long-time editor of Trains Magazine and passed away in 2020. The images are being scanned at high resolution and will be available to MPHS members to view in the Image Gallery of the Archives. There are several images where the location is not known, any information on where those images were taken would be appreciated.

What’s the earliest way to find these that you need help with? Is there a particular search one can use?

In the Digital Image Gallery, In the Search Box at the top, type Ingles, all scanned images from the Ingles Collection will populate. You must be logged in and a member of MPHS to see the images. Jim

The watermark is an overlay generated by the software that runs the image gallery. It is not contained in the actual images.

I understand the reason for a watermark, considering the time and money spent to digitize material, but on some images its quite obtrusive.
