Missouri Pacific "BABY EAGLE" mini train

Some recently donated photos to the MPHS Collection.

Anyone have any history on the Baby Eagle, or its whereabouts if is still around. It looks like it was repainted in UP colors – this is not the UP Mini Train that tours now, which was built in Omaha and has different equipment.

The back of the B&W photo reads:

Units turned over to Sedalia, MO

The mP Eagle shots are taken in front of the Soldiers Memorial. The Mopac’s General Officers are in the background. I thought someone said this train set was stored in Palestine, Texas.

Someone commented on the Facebook page that it was donated to the town of Sedalia, but is now stored in NLR at Jenks Shops and is painted yellow.

This is a different mini train than the one UP tours with and I believe based in Cheyenne.

There was one of them at the Galveston Railroad Museum before the Hurricane hit, I believe we were there in October of 2015. It was UP Armour Yellow with the Metal Mopac Eagle still on the nose. I know the set we had in Sedalia had this Eagle on it. I was always told the set in Sedilia was made in the Sedalia shops and it was in every parade in town up to when the shops closed. If I remember right, it has a plaque on it that said it was made at North Little Rock. I have pictures I will try to locate.
