For those who share an appreciation for a column of faded numbers on an old train sheet, an interesting consist from January 30, 1955:

Train 221 (Pleasant Hill-Newport), arrived “W” at 1:25pm, on time.
    8029 Alco PA
    4153 HW baggage
    2163 HW RPO-baggage
    6162 HW coach

Most photo coverage of the White River Division trains show a single GP7 as power. This was one of the trips where the motive power got an “upgrade”. This consist information is from an Arkansas Division, Hoxie Subdivision trainsheet, one of the few that I’ve seen which show White River division trains between Diaz and Newport.

    Bill:
I’ve seen photos of both a single PA and E7 on 221 over the years as well. Believe both were taken in the early 1950’s.

Nice list, Bill. Isn’t 6162 the heavyweight coach lettered “The Eagle”?
