We had a request from a fellow museum asking for help in identifying this car which is supposed to be a former MP car. Apparently, the only number that is legible on this car is 4705. You can see it on the lower right side in the photo. Please post a reply if you can help.

After a little research, I believe this car to be a type 148XL from MP series 254650 – 254899. These were built by Pacific Car & Foundry as lot 2866 in 1978. If this info is correct, the car was possibly originally numbered as MP 254705.
Here is the link to a photo that I found of the 254803 with FSR reporting marks.
