Charlie, I am sure that is a vibrator to loosen up the lime. Pretty interesting piece of equipment. Jerry

Late 1980s or early 1990s. As late as 1981 they were still building short bay window cabooses, building the main bodies at DeSoto and finishing them out at Sedalia. Jerry Michels

Hi Charlie, please reserve 4064 and 4125 for me. Bush yard is pretty full, but there is a lack of M-I equipment. Jerry

This looks like a really nice model. Question. By the 1950s would these have had ladders rather than individual grab irons? I wonder if these could be put in MOW service. Jerry Michels

Nicely done Bill! I was fortunate to buy several of Joe’s HO-scale water tank models from his wife a few years back. Now my steam consists REALLY look MoPac.

Mitch, I forgot to mention that they are in the Company Store under CD/DVD and on the second page. The title is “Data CD – Employee Timetables for 1941 and 1955” Jerry

Hopefully this will help. IT is an Excel file I developed some years back on the various Missouri Pacific Divisions and Districts. Also, The MPHS should still have a CD/DVD for sale that has a copy of every division during the transition era.

This is a really interesting question Charlie, and I have not given it a lot of thought. Perhaps a closer look at what other, more well documented railroads were using at the time could help. I am surprised you did just pull out your Iron Mountain equipment register from 1895!!! 😆

Looking good. This is a tough conversion, but it will be worth the effort to have an E7 with portholes. Jerry Michels

Joe, I am on the road right now, but I will look at what I have on M-I cabooses. Jerry

Tangent tank cars are amazing models. I have a tendency to buy them even if I don’t have a specific industry or shipper. They are considered bridge traffic. Jerry

No ag uses I can think of unless for grain fumigation or large-scale water purification. Grain fumigation was typically with a bromine compound.
