    Charlie,

The treatment around the doors with the darker blue looks great. The lighter blue you started with was a great idea. 90% of the early geeps I saw in the late 70’s were totally faded out…yours will be a great memory maker!!!

Thanks again for posting this project.

    Charlie,

Geep looks great so far! Those Plano parts complement your excellent modelling…

Looking forward to your progress. Thanks for posting.

There is a thread on here in the HO scale area about the ICC center cupola cars in resin. Nate O. is building one in MOPAC colors. I think some of these lasted almost until the UP merger.

I still have a couple of the old Ramax flat kits….$2.00 less trucks and couplers…not a bad kit for the price!
Intermountain also did a 2 bay ACF car. I think they may have done kits and RTR cars. They did some MP and CEI cars.
Years ago Front Range also kit their 2 bay cars for MP and CEI. They were very nice as well.

    Charlie,

Thanks for your photo’s…the updated car with the new roof walk looks great.

I know Atlas originally did a run of 4 different MP numbers on the 6 bay cars, and the original run all had NMRA ‘horn hook’ couplers. Did either of the cars you have come with Kadee compatible couplers? I have seen photos of other road names with factory Kadee compatible couplers, just don’t know if they did any MP cars with them.

Either way, the Atlas cars are easy to upgrade to other couplers.

    Nate,
Cab is looking better all the time. Glad to see your updates!

I think that that same storm is heading to Nebraska…hopefully, we can keep the power up!

    Steve,

All the photo’s are great, thanks for sharing. I’m sure you took all these during your “lunch break”….

Maybe Charlie will now do a ‘build and paint’ thread on some 40 foot cars!!! (fingers are crossed)

    Really enjoy the C&EI shots….
