Reposted from Bopp Chapel

Walter Andrew Fussner, Jr. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

Beloved husband of the late Joan Fussner (nee Tieman).  Dear father of Jean (Kevin) Sullivan.  Dear grandfather of Jason, Sarah, and Abby Sullivan.  Dear brother of Dorothy Schill, the late June Willey, Donald Fussner, and  Robert Fussner.  Dear uncle, great uncle, brother in-law, cousin, and friend.

Walter grew up in University City and was a graduate of Washington University.  He spent his entire 40 year career in public relations positions with the Missouri Pacific and Union Pacific railroads.  He served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  In addition to serving his Country, Walter devoted countless hours to serving his community, his church and various service organizations over the years.  He was an avid golfer and a lifelong fan of all St. Louis sports teams. He traveled the world with Joan, his wife of 62 years, dear friends, and family.  Walter was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He will always be remembered as a true gentleman.
