DESCRIPTION:Affiliated Sponsors BRHS\, CERA\, CNWHS\, GNRHS\, LAKE STATES\, MRHA\, MPHS\, SHORE LINE\, SLHTS \nA Weekend to Benefit Multiple Archive Efforts. Collectively\, all the participating groups archive efforts will benefit from this event\, both financially and in collective knowledge. Great presentations\, networking and archive updates from the participating organizations. \nFriday\, April 17th all day Metra Rail Trip is planned by Dave Phillips (CNWHS) gathering at 8:00 am to 8:15 am at Chicago’s Union Station for a morning departure to Manhattan and return and an afternoon departure to Aurora and returning to Union Station about 4PM. Trip includes lunch and snacks. SUMMARY:2026 Annual Convention
DESCRIPTION:2026 Convention Flyer \n\nPlanning is underway with the 2026 Convention in Kansas City at the Drury Inn Hotel Kansas City-Independence\, located at 20030 E. 42nd St.\, Blue Springs\, MO. \nOur Convention will take place October 8-11\, 2026. The hotel is newly remodeled with a full bar\, lounge area\, and spacious conference rooms.  Free breakfast and Drury’s 5:30 Evening Kick-Back is included with each room reservation. \nKansas City and Missouri Pacific have a rich history. We look forward to learning more about local operations and the impact of MP with other railroads and customers. Planning for presentations\, local tours\, and a Saturday evening banquet are underway.  We will have a Business meeting on Saturday morning and a Swap Meet on Saturday afternoon.  We will publish a full Convention Schedule as events and speakers are confirmed. \nMPHS reserved a block of rooms at group rate pricing that will open for reservations starting Monday\, July 13\, 2026.  Deadline for making reservations will September 6\, 2026. We will publish a contact number and special reservation information on the Convention page of our website for making reservations. \nFor spouses and friends\, there are numerous restaurants\, museums\, shopping destinations\, and attractions in the immediate area of the Hotel and the greater Kansas City area.
