I’m looking for any pics of the MoPac going through Gypsum, KS during the 60’s. Any help would be appreciated. Found alot right before the line was pulled up, but none from the 60’s. Thanks bobpsych

Another option is to contact Kansas University Kenneth Spencer library and ask about the Howard Killam Collection. He photographed I believe nearly every depot in Kansas plus there are additional views of some towns plus there is still a large portion of his slides in the collection that’s not been cataloged – or at least hadn’t when I visited which reminds me I need to go back and go through the collection once again.

There was another gentleman – Richard Napper – who is now deceased who had a large photo collection that files can be purchased from, but I don’t know what happened to his collection.

Thanks so much! !966 was the last year of passenger service on this line, so that picture is perfect. I knew both Howard Killam and Richard Napper from our Topeka NRHS. Fine gentlemen both!

One thing I forgot about is a video that is available online that discusses the farming around Gypsum in the 1950s, but shows the Mopac switching cars and other railroad views. I thought it was at the Kansas Memories website, but wasn’t able to find it.
