M-I Rough Creek Trestle

Does anyone on this list know the length of the Warren Truss Deck span in the center of Rough Creek Trestle east of Weingarten, Mo. On the old Missouti Illinois line from Ste Genevieve to Flat River?

My profile book shows a Rough Creek bridge between M.P. 99 and M.P. 100 west of Weingarten. The note says:

Rough Creek
Br. #11
Steel Viaduct 615′

That’s it for details. My book looks to be 1954 or later, based upon the rail installation dates.

I know that Gene’s original question is a bit old (3 years ” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />), but if anyone is interested, here’s an image I found online (apologies to photo owner, I cannot provide proper credit). Given the long distance perspective, knowing the length of that engine could provide a pretty good estimate of the length of the truss portion of the bridge.
