I have attached a Missouri Pacific Menu that was for Dinner on August 8, 1930 for a special. The special was:

    Pennslyvania Farmer
    First Annual Western Tour
    Via
    Missouri Pacific Lines
    Pueblo – St. Louis

I guess one has to assume that farming season was over and the Pennsylvania farmers were more than ready to take a trip in an air conditioned train I know I would be. First annual trip to Pueblo…I wonder if there was a second annual trip? I wonder too if they then boarded a Rio Grande special for a trip out to the Royal Gouge.

I’m guessing “Pennsylvania Farmer” was a magazine and this was a sponsored trip.

There’s plenty of farming to do in August, so the date of the trip is an interesting question.

The odd thing is that Google pulled up nothing for Pennsylvania Farmer Magazine.

There are hundreds of dead periodicals that may not have an epitaph on the world wide web.

Thanks for posting the menu, stuff like that is great. I downloaded a copy for the MPHS Digital collection.
