Richard RykerParticipant
Here’s a Walthers news release-
We’re sorry to announce the cancellation of the entire Walthers Fallen Flags series due to the lack of orders. This includes all of the WalthersMainline® Alco PA-PB locos in the 910-20051 to 20062 series with SoundTraxx® Sound and Standard DC models in the 910-10051 to 10062 series. All WalthersProto® passenger cars planned for the series are also being cancelled.
Now that was a short window of opportunity.
Richard RykerParticipantThere are hundreds of dead periodicals that may not have an epitaph on the world wide web.

There was some earlier questions as to if the roof was painted or stainless steel. It’s quite plain the roof is unpainted stainless steel. An absolutely beautiful restoration!

Richard RykerParticipantI’m guessing “Pennsylvania Farmer” was a magazine and this was a sponsored trip.
There’s plenty of farming to do in August, so the date of the trip is an interesting question.
Richard RykerParticipantI’ll contact Joel Boucher – he would know.
Richard RykerParticipantDid Omaha have a scale? There were lots of gons and hoppers that were almost in captive service.
Richard RykerParticipantBen,
The NMRA Bulletin featured several Missouri Pacific Depots that were retraced by Paul Moon (who lived in Little Rock at the time, now deceased). Perhaps others on the list may have copies. I would doubt that the NMRA has any copies.
Richard RykerParticipantIs the Railway Age Library/Store in downtown Omaha still open? They had a compete collection of Railway Age and Railway Mechanical Engineer.

Richard RykerParticipantI’d be interested in one or two if the 1950s era decals are produced.

Richard RykerParticipantI’d concur with that, David. File them as “Likely not MoPac”.

Richard RykerParticipantLooks very close, Pat. It looks like the number of windows on front of the cupola varies, but otherwise a very credible match.
What era are you modeling? Since the caboose lasted until 1953 a more typical lettering scheme would be appropriate.

Richard RykerParticipantNate,
Jim Boyd, in “Missouri Pacific in Color Vol 2” , page 10, has a photo of FA2 #382 in Dark Eagle Blue. The photo was taken at North Little Rock 7/10/61. It is very blue!
Does anyone have proof of other FAs in Dark Eagle Blue?
Dick Ryker
Richard RykerParticipantFinally some success with a minimally distorted image!
